LIFEHOUSE
Sidewalk presence, prayer, and practical help meet women at the exact moment a decision feels impossible, and keep walking with them long after.
See how we help womenWhy this work matters
Every day in the Central Valley, a woman learns she is pregnant and feels she has no one to turn to. A student wonders whether their life ever really mattered. A mother carries a grief she has never spoken aloud. From the child in the womb to the neighbor nearing death, we believe every one of them is worth showing up for.
The need is local
Most women who consider abortion don't describe themselves as making a choice. They describe feeling cornered, by finances, by a relationship, by fear, by the quiet message that they're on their own. The decision feels less like freedom and more like the only door left open.
We're convinced that when a woman is met with real help instead of pressure (a person who stays, resources she can count on, and a community that keeps its promises), the door that felt closed opens again. That conviction is simple, but it changes outcomes.
It also reaches beyond abortion. We oppose euthanasia and assisted suicide because dignity is not something illness, disability, dependency, age, or suffering can erase. A culture that protects life must stand with the unborn, the vulnerable, the disabled, the seriously ill, those nearing death, and families facing economic hardship.
So our work stays close to the ground. We don't lead with slogans. We lead with presence: standing with mothers, equipping students and families, and walking with those who are still healing.
How we respond
Three pathways, one promise: meet people where they are and stay with them through what comes next.
